I’d like to thank everyone who wrote to me with so many heartfelt messages of Love on Facebook, and elsewhere, regarding my mom, Helen Louise Northrop, who crossed over on March 24th at the age of 93.
I have said over and over in years of lectures, seminars, newsletters, gatherings, groups, etc., that all my work is NOT about those who have crossed over. Rather, my focus is on the living who lost their loved ones. I have to say that during my mom’s crossing, those words couldn’t be truer.
Remember, it’s the persons with whom we have to deal with. It’s the loss of their loved ones who have crossed over. It is for those to deal with the living, given the time of grief and sadness. And we are able to do what needs to be done. As most of you know, many who have lost loved ones can be overwhelmed with grief, given the aftermath, and then there is so much to do.
My mom was a “QVC” junkie. (Quality Value Convenience = QVC, see for a description here). Need I say more? Going thru my mom’s stuff, I found tags on her items that were never worn or even opened. I, however, knew that was going to be one challenging job. Which it was. Thankful for my sister and her cleaning skills.
Time to get all the legal issues in order to again make it much easier for the journey. My connection for years in my work has taught me that. Remember everyone, it’s YOUR job and wishes.
I had some under-the-wire challenges but got it together to make things legal. Yes, lots of paperwork which will take time, but at least I know what I have to do.
One more very important sharing I have: I worked the night of my mom’s crossing. I had scheduled a webinar with Linda Fitch, a wonderful shaman with whom I’ve worked with for many years. Linda offered to do the event without me, but I declined because I knew it was the best thing I could do.
Linda taught me about a grief altar, which I did 10 days before in regard to my mom. A beautiful gift she gave me. We all shared that during the webinar, and it is something I will never forget and will be forever grateful for.
Thank you ALL again for sharing your Love during my journey—a journey is something we have to do in life, here, on Planet Earth.
