What is “Energy Psychology”?

Energy Psychology is a psychotherapeutic as well as a self-help approach that, as it is most commonly practiced, combines imaginal exposure and other cognitive methods with the stimulation of acupuncture points by tapping on them. The most well-known among its various formulations are Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Thought Field Therapy (TFT). Bridging Psychology, Biophysics, and Spirituality, these revolutionary methods have shown promise in assisting clients who are unresponsive to usual treatments. This is the therapy of the future – available now!

Special Presentation at the Conference: Dr. Patch Adams will be offering a keynote address on Friday morning: The Joy of Caring. This keynote lecture is about the thrill of helping others. This inspirational talk includes much dialogue to explore burnout prevention for caregivers. The focus of this lecture/workshop is the magic and power of care, not only in the patient's life but also in the caregiver's life. Caring for others isn't a sacrifice to be made, but a need to be met. There is a distinct human need to care for one another, and the purpose of this talk to explore the joy of meeting this primal need to care. We will show some films about care and invite any challenges from the audience. Let go of fear and doubt and embrace love! We will celebrate care to the extent that the concept of "burnout" will be inconceivable. Let your voice be heard. Upon completion of this session, participants of the Joy of Caring will explore how to find joy in caring and how this joy prevents burnout.
